“When students are overwhelmed with revision and assignments, we begin to abandon remembering Allah, although He is the One who gives us the ability to work. We just fulfill the very basic requirements of Islam without giving our portion of the day to do other good deeds which bring us closer to Allah, the Most High.
We do not realise the negative effect this has on our Imaan, leaving ourselves open wider to the shaytaan and his helpers and then wonder where we have gone wrong, why we are disobeying Allah more frequently and some of us even feeling depressed due to our studies. We are taught in Islam that if we take time out of our daily lives for Allah, our Creator, our Sustainer, the One who gave us everything we have, then He will in turn bless our time, allowing us to achieve more in less time.”
